About Me

Passionate about politics, international relations, and serving my community

Hi, I’m Carter Huff. I’m a university student majoring in international relations, with massive dreams about making the world a better place through leadership and policy innovation.

In my young life, I have volunteered on campaigns, founded community organizations, and started my own business designing web pages for talented changemakers. If I don’t have a skill and need it, I learn it. I’m resourceful and smart; I have grit and determination; I make things happen.

Everyone has something to offer the world, and I offer the solutions people need to make changes in their communities, in their businesses, and in their lives. Whether it be organizing people and forming a chess club, teaching calculus and life skills to high schoolers, going door to door to campaign for a candidate I believe in, or designing awesome websites, I help people achieve their goals. Once I graduate from William and Mary with my degree in international relations, I will be even better equipped to be the change I want to see in the world, and to help other changemakers do the same.

Follow me to see the exciting things that are happening in my life and the inspiring projects I’m working on.

If you want to hire me, I’m available.

My Services

International Service

I spent the summer of 2016 in Nepal teaching high school, organizing chess clubs, and helping students achieve their goals.

Local Community Service

I have served my local community by volunteering, founding chess clubs and helping high school students.

I served my local community by volunteering for political campaigns and helping to make positive changes I believe in. Check out my Careers (link) page for details.

My Career

Most people start their career after they graduate from college. I didn’t see the point. I know that I want to work in politics, so I started building my career at the age of 20.

I campaigned for Ken Cuccinelli.

During Mr. Cuccinelli’s bid for Governor, I went door to door explaining his platform to and answering questions from average, everyday voters. Candidates often have to combat media misinformation and preconceived notions, and I found it extremely rewarding to be able to clarify the facts for many people, whether or not they decided to vote for Mr. Cuccinelli.

I work for Mark Matney, a local lawyer

I have helped Mr. Matney with his website, as well as with any and all projects he has thrown my way. While helping to streamline and support his practice, I have also gained an inside perspective on one of the professions that politics majors most commonly enter.

I can work for you too!

Whether you need website help, persuasive and passionate rhetoric, or just help organizing your business or project, I can help you with your business or project.

My Travels

When we live and work in a single area, it becomes easy to get tunnel vision about the people and issues in that area. When I went to Nepal to volunteer and teach, my eyes were opened about the different experiences that people have and the issues that different communities have to deal with. Check out my pictures from the adventure of a lifetime!
